The Mid-City/Exposition ( Expo) Light Rail Project consists of a new two-track light rail system that connects to the existing Metro Blue Line (MBL) at Flower Street and Washington Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles. The total route length from the Flower Street / Washington Boulevard Junction to the End of the Line in Culver City is approximately 411.000 feet (7.8 miles).

Expo Line Culver City to Santa Monica LRT Phase II

The LACMTA Exposition Transit Corridor Phase 2 will extend westward to Santa Monica from the Metro Expo Line Culver City Station. This 6.6 mile double track light rail will expand LACMTA’s system to 87 stations and over 93 miles of rail to destinations across L.A. County.

Metrolink Positive Train Control

Los Angeles, Calif. & Culver City, Calif.

This project is the first of its kind to be awarded in the U.S. Rail Industry. It is the first Positive Train Control (PTC) system that complies with the Rail Safety Improvement Act of 2008. The Rail Safety Improvement Act requires all passenger and freight railroads to install PTC by 2015. The overall project scope includes design, installation, documentation, testing, integration, and commissioning of PTC technology on the 512-miles of the Metrolink commuter rail system.

This design build project involves the transit improvements at the historic Denver Union Station making it a multi-modal transportation hub. Construction, which began in February 2010, includes: an underground bus terminal, an eight-track commuter rail station, plazas, relocation of the light rail station, and street improvements. This multifaceted project covering 40 acres in Denver’s Central Platte Valley will integrate rail and bus service, along with taxis, bicyclist and pedestrians, into a dynamic urban center.

Northwest Rail Operating Facility (NWROF) Bid-Build

This bid-build project involved constructing 19 storage tracks, 5 service and inspection tracks and 4 yard leads to support DART’s expanding rail systems.  The work included procurement of the signaling system, overhead catenary system (OCS), and traction electrification system for the storage yard, a service and inspection facility and vehicle wash station.

This design-build project will extend BART service 5.4 miles south from the existing terminal station in Fremont to Warm Springs, in Northern California’s East Bay area. A double-track line will be constructed from the Fremont Station, through Central Park Subway, past a future passenger station site at Irvington, and then along-side Union Pacific Rail Road (UPRR) tracks to an existing UPRR switching yard at Warm Springs.
